Is New Zealand really a veritable Garden of Eden?

Unfortunately nudity is just not that prevalent. There are a few beaches if you know where to go, and a couple of bars that specialise in that, but not in general. Hope that answers your question.

If you're wanting to get away to the absolute middle of fucking nowhere with ancient native bush and amazing fiords and mountains and shit, Fiordland national park is the place to go. As long as you realise that there's no roads there apart from to Milford Sound - which is an amazing scenic drive. There are also fantastic walks/tramps (hikes?) from there.

My Wife is from the UK and she says New Zealand is just a bigger version of the Lake District in the UK. After all, the British introduced literally thousands of species of plants and animals to make NZ as much like the UK as possible. I can just imagine the conversation.. "It's almost perfect, but we need one more thing.... Hedgehogs, thats it. Send a telegram and get them to send over some Hedgehogs!"
